Pushing riders, machines, and the entire team to their limits, the rally ultimately delivered a historic milestone — Hero MotoSports’ first-ever double Top-10 finish at Dakar. Nacho Cornejo delivered a calm and consistent performance throughout to finish 7th overall, managing the challenging conditions with maturity and control. Close behind, Ross Branch secured 8th overall, showcasing determination and resilience despite multiple setbacks. While the final results fell short of podium ambitions, the rally delivered valuable championship points, key technical learnings, and strong momentum for the season ahead. In the final Stage 13, Cornejo and Branch finished 8th and 12th respectively, closing the opening round of the 2026 FIM World Rally-Raid Championship with 14 and 12 points. Tobias Ebster’s promising Rally2 campaign ended early after a Stage 3 crash resulted in a fractured scaphoid; he is currently recovering at home. Despite tyre issues, penalties, and crashes — including two heavy falls on Stage 9 — both Rally GP riders remained inside the overall Top-10 throughout the event. The Hero 450 Rally once again proved its reliability, completing the entire Dakar without a single technical issue.
